Before returning to my alma mater in 2001, I taught for three years in the Technology-based Teacher Education and Educational Technology programs at Lehigh University. Here are some highlights of my three years at Lehigh:
- My grants accounted for 1/8th of the research funding in the college of education during the 3 years I was at Lehigh;
- I provided support for 6 full-time Graduate Assistants in the technology-based teacher education program. Overall, my projects provided financial support for more than 20 students during the 3 years I taught at Lehigh;
- In the summer of 1999, I was the first faculty member at Lehigh to deliver a blended course using Blackboard;
- I delivered a speech during President Farrington's inauguration entitled Nature of the University in a Connected Age;
- In August 2000, I was invited to attend the U.S. Secretary of Education's Conference on Educational Technology: Measuring Impacts and Shaping the Future. Conference attendees participated in brainstorming sessions with K-12, university, and industry leaders in technology and education.
